ID: exh76249a
This is a series of illustrations begins depicting a complete fracture dislocation of the thoracic spine at the T11-T12 level, ligament disruption, disc herniation of the T11-12 into the spinal canal, dural lacerations and partial transection of the spinal cord all at this level. To better get an understanding of whats seen in the radiographic films and see the magnitude of the injury, a 3D figure of the T11 and T12 are shown to illustrate the anterolisthesis of T11 over T12, the bilateral jumped facets and fracture of the left superior facet and superior aspect of the pedicle. An orientation figure is shown to show the point of impact and resulting in complete paraplegia from that point down. The initial surgical repair consisted of realigning the spine and placement of pedicle screws over T10, T11, T12 and L1.
