Right Femur Fracture with Open Reduction and Internal Fixation
The injury consist of an intertrochanteric fracture of the right femur. The surgical repair consist of the insertion of an intramedullary nail into the femur, for which the femur was reamed first to fit the appropriate size nail. A lag screw is placed through a second small incision which traverse the nail and fixate the intertrochanteric fracture.
