The first half of this exhibit features the key steps of the surgical repair, including the incision and removal of three K-wires from the wrist. The second half of this exhibit features the key steps of the 8/3/09 surgical repair, including the incision, separation of the ulnar styloid from the ulnar head using an osteotome, excision of the ulnar head using an osteotome, and insertion of a strip of ECU through a small hole in the distal ulna, and suturing of the ECU to itself in a tenodesis fashion to stabilize the ulna.
