Description: Title: Post-operative Bile Duct Injuries with additional Surgical Repairs

This exhibit begins with an orientationm view of the normal anatomy of the gallbladder area, followed by the outlook of a correct cholecystectomy procedure versus the actual post-operative condition which reveal clipping of the right hepatic artery, the common bile duct transected, clipped and leaking bile product. As a consequence of this, a biloma has formed within the area and some of the liver tissue has become necrotic. This is followed by a subsequent surgical repair to correct this damage which include a Roux-en-Y type of repair and anastomosis of the common hepatic duct to the jejunum.
