Placental Abruption with Interruption of Fetal Oxygenation
This medical exhibit consists of two illustrations of a sagittal view of a pregnant woman with a 37 week old fetus in the uterus. The placenta is low and anterior to the fetus. The fetus on the left shows that ten percent of the lower portion of the placenta will be shown as being pulled away from the uterine wall. The fetus on the left is similar to the first one except that 50% of the placenta will be detached from the uterine wall.
