Description: The male perineal area is depicted here days later after a debridement procedure of initial skin infection, now presenting progression of the infection (Fournier gangrene) extending to all the perineal area. Abscess is present bilaterally within the ischiorectal fossa and causing necrosis of the external anal sphincter, infection has also extended anteriorly to the mons above the scrotum and posteriorly to the buttocks.
