The second illustration shows the incision being made in the back as the first step of the procedure. The third illustration portrays the lumbar laminectomy being performed. The fourth illustration depicts the debridement of bone and placement of graft. The fifth illustration shows the placement of pedical screws on the left side. The sixth illustration portrays the attachment of the rod to the two screws.
