Improper Placement of Cervical Fixation Screw
This stock medical exhibit begins with a side skeletal view of the head and cervical vertebrae with posterior fusion hardware in place. An inset shows an axial section through C4, in which the fixation screws are in proper position. Next, two insets show an axial section through C7, in which the right cervical fixation screw is improperly placed and impinging upon the neural canal. These images are based on actual CT scans from two different dates.
