Description: These series of illustrations are meant to show that the use of a snare should not be the method of choice for the removal of sessile polyps. This exhibit shows removal of two different types of sessile polyps using a snare with same outcome result. Whether it is an intramuscular or mucosal polyp, damage is done creating a divot in the muscular wall of the stomach which exposed to gastric juices may lead to an eventual perforation.
