Diagnostic Upper Endoscopy
This series of illustrations shows a biopsy of a sessile polyp. It begins with an orientation figure of an elderly female and an endoscope introduced into the oral cavity and passed down into stomach. A large sessile polyp is found in the fondus of the stomach. To the right, there is an enlargement of the sessile polyp, in this case an intramuscular polyp is depicted and a biopsy is taken from it.
