Description: This exhibit illustrates the initial condition with a damaged right common femoral artery causing ischemia in the right lower leg and multiple hematomas, two bilateral in the groin and a large one from the medial right thigh to the scrotum.rnrnThe other images depict four surgical steps. The first three show the attachment of the anastomosis graft to the left common femoral artery, the attachment of the other end of the graft to the right common femoral artery below the damaged area, and a diagram showing how blood flows from the left side, through the graft, and then the right side. The last image shows the incisions made to perform a four-compartment fasciotomy on the right lower leg.
