This exhibit begins with one anterior view of the right groin. This image illustrates the pre-operative condition showing the previously placed mesh and surrounding scar tissue. The locations of the iliohypogastric nerve, ilioinguinal nerve and genitofemoral nerve is included and these nerves are shown red and inflamed at the site of the original mesh repair. Also, the key steps of this second surgical procedure are illustrated. These images include the exposure and removal of the originally placed mesh, the ligation of the nerves in this region and the placement of the new mesh.
