Classification of Skin Burns
This series depicts skin burns at the microsopic level, classifying them as first, second and third degree. The first illustration depicts a normal section of skin with epidermis, dermis, subcutaneous tissue, muscle, arteries and veins. The subsequent three medical drawings display first, second and third degree burns, each classified by the extent of damage to the skin layers from the epidermal to the dermal to the deepest tissues.
