Choroidal Effusion
Choroidal Effusion
This exhibit board illustrates a condition known as a “kissing” choroidal hemorrhage. There are two images, including an overall sagittal view of the eye and an enlarged inset showing a closeup view of the three tissue layers making up the globe of the eye. They both demonstrate how a hemorrhage between the sclera and the choroid can push the tissue layers apart. Because of the hemorrhage affecting both sides, the inner eye layers are pressed so close together that they touch and cut off central vision.rn
