A C5-6 disc herniation is depicted in sagittal view and it is seen impinging into the thecal sac and into the exiting nerve root. A right sided skin incision is made in the neck to expose the disc at C5-6. The disc material is removed, partial corpectomies is performed and the disc is replaced with a prosthesis
