Cervical Spine Injuries with Surgical Fusion

ID: exh81934
This is a single board custom exhibit that includes an orientation image, a pre-operative condition image, and five steps of the subsequent surgery. The pre-operative condition illustrates the previous hardware of anterior plate and four screws in the patient’s neck at C5-6 and the fused bone in-between them. The area is denoted by an orientation image of a figure’s head and neck. The five steps depicted in the next few images include the anterior exposure of the previous hardware, the removal of the hardware, a discectomy performed at the level below at C6-7, the insertion of the spacer at C6-7, and the placement of a new, 2-level anterior plate and six screws.
