Cervical Disc Herniation with Surgical Discectomy and Fusion
This stock medical exhibit depicts a cervical disc herniation with multiple steps showing the surgical discectomy and fusion. The first image is an orientational view next to a color interpretation of a sagittal view of the cervical spine. Below that is a color interpretation of an axial view of C4-5 showing the disc herniation. To the right is the surgical discectomy with the first image showing the incision site and the removal of the C4-5 intervertebral disc material. The next image shows the disc space being prepared for the insertion of a graft. Then the allograft being inserted into the disc space and a plate being applied to the vertebral bodies of C4-5. The final images shows the post-operative condition with the hardware in place.
