Bilateral Carpal Tunnel Syndrome with Surgical Release
This set of medical illustrations depicts bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome with release surgery. The pre-operative condition is shown, including the transverse carpal ligament compressing the median nerve and flexor tendons. The first drawing of the surgery shows an incision made in the palm and wrist to expose the carpal tunnel. Then, the transverse carpal ligament is incised. Finally, the median nerve and flexor tendons are released from compression.
