Arthritis of the Great Toe with Surgical Procedure
This series of illustrations depicts partially healed comminuted fractures of the distal phalanx and distal metatarsal of the great toe. The surgical images shows incision over the great toe, dissection of the joint capsule and collateral ligaments, removal of the osteophitic bone and smoothing the cut bone edges with a rasp.
