L5-S1 Lumbar Spine Injury with Proposed Future Surgical Fusion

ID: exh69121
This stock medical exhibit begins with one detailed sagittal (side cut-away) view of the lumbar spine based specifically on an actual MRI image. This image clearly illustrates spondylolisthesis or anterolisthesis of L5-S1 disc. This disc is shown protruding beyond the posterior border of L5 and extending slightly behind the L5 vertebral body separating the posterior longitudinal ligament form the L5 vertebra. This color interpretation is mounted beside the actual MRI film print. Also, included in this exhibit is a lateral skeletal view of the lumbar spine illustrating the proposed future-post-opertaive condition. This image clearly shows the lumbar fixation hardware in place stabilizing the L5-S1 interspace.
