This exhibit depicts an open book fracture of the pelvis consisting of a massive diastases of the pubic symphysis and diastases of the right sacroiliac joint. Other injuries also shown are: compression fracture of T4 vertebral body, comminuted fractures of the 3rd, 4th and 5th metacarpals, bilateral bleedings from the obturator arteries and avulsion fracture of the sacrum.
